About Diggidy Dog

Hi, I’m Stephanie (Lorraine) Morris — the owner of Diggidy Dog.
If you asked me years ago whether my life would revolve around animals, grooming, and building a pet brand, I probably wouldn’t have believed it myself. But looking back now, it makes perfect sense.
I started grooming professionally in 2008 while working at a veterinary clinic. At first, I simply enjoyed being around animals and helping pet owners take better care of them. But over time, grooming became much more personal to me than just baths, brushes, and haircuts.
I’ve always believed pets deserve the same level of care, comfort, cleanliness, and attention that we expect for ourselves.
They live with us.
Sleep beside us.
Travel with us.
Become part of our routines and families.
So why shouldn’t they feel clean, comfortable, and cared for, too?
That mindset stayed with me throughout the years and shaped the way I approached grooming. I became known for being patient with nervous dogs and creating a calmer experience for pets that were anxious or difficult to groom. Some dogs need extra time. Some need gentleness. Some simply need someone they can trust.
That trust matters to me more than anything.
A big turning point in my life happened during a business conference years ago, where I met someone deeply involved in rescuing dogs. I remember listening to his stories about rescuing animals, rehabilitation, and the emotional connection people build with pets. Before we left, he gifted me a business book, and we stayed in touch while both of us continued building our own journeys.
That conversation stayed with me for a long time.
It changed the way I looked at animals completely.
From that point on, I became much more involved in helping and caring for rescue dogs whenever I could. Once you spend enough time around animals, you start realizing they all have personalities, emotions, fears, and comfort zones just like people do.
And honestly, for me, a dog is a dog.
I’ve never been someone who only cares about expensive breeds or “perfect-looking” pets. Some of the sweetest animals I’ve ever met were rescues.

Both of these guys are my favorites. My son and my dog 🥺
Over the years, another thing became obvious to me while grooming pets every day: most pet products on the market simply weren’t good enough.
Clients constantly asked me for recommendations on brushes, bowls, toys, accessories, and everyday essentials. But so many products available online felt cheaply made, poorly designed, or made from materials I personally wouldn’t want around animals I cared about.
That frustration slowly became the beginning of Diggidy Dog.
Instead of selling random products, I wanted to build a store filled with items I’d actually feel comfortable recommending to my own grooming clients and using around animals myself.
I started spending time researching suppliers, reviewing materials, checking product quality, and understanding how products were made. I wanted products that felt practical, durable, comfortable, and safe for everyday use — not products designed to look good for one photo and fall apart a week later.
That’s still how Diggidy Dog operates today.
In 2023, my family and I moved to Michigan. Part of it was a life decision. We wanted a slower pace, a better environment, and a fresh chapter. But professionally, I also noticed something interesting through the pet owner communities and Facebook groups I was part of: there was real demand for experienced groomers in the area.
So we took the leap.
Today, I continue grooming while also growing Diggidy Dog as an online store for pet owners who care deeply about their animals. Whether it’s for dogs or cats, every product added to this store is selected with the same mindset I’ve carried throughout my grooming career: trust first.
Because at the end of the day, people aren’t just buying pet products.
They’re buying products for animals they genuinely love.
And I never take that lightly.
One experience I still think about happened when I witnessed a cat get hit by a truck right in front of me. I watched that cat take its final breaths, and honestly, I couldn’t sleep properly for days afterward. Moments like that stay with you. They remind you how vulnerable animals really are and how much they depend on people to care for them properly.
That’s why Diggidy Dog means so much to me personally.
This business was never meant to feel cold or corporate. I wanted it to feel human. Honest. Personal. A place where people feel comfortable shopping because they know there’s a real animal lover behind it.
Thank you for supporting Diggidy Dog and trusting us to be a small part of your pet’s life.
